This is the last week of the semester.  Please make sure you check Encourage and turn in any missing work before Christmas break.  All test corrections are due this week.

Test 8 (covering lessons 32-36).

Prior to class on Wednesday, please read Lesson 37: Writing Equations of Parallel and Perpendicular lines.

Homework: Lesson 37: a-f, 5, 10, 26.  Due 12/13.

Test 8 (covering lessons 33-35 and Investigation 3).

Firearms Basics

We will be shooting skeet and trap, weather permitting, so please dress appropriately for the weather.  It appears that Tuesday and Thursday’s weather forecast of this week calls for highs in the 30s and dry conditions.


Archery

We will be preparing for our NASP tournament on Saturday, December 14. Times for the tournament are 8:00am, 4:00pm, and 5:00pm.  If you don’t know when you are shooting please see me.  Also, please give Mrs. Curp your $10 entry fee if you haven’t already done so.

Wednesday, December 4  

Prior to class Wednesday, please read Lesson 34 (pg 138-139) Greatest Common Factor.  

Homework:  Lesson 34: a-c, 5-27 odd.  Due 12/6.

Friday, December 6  

Prior to class Friday, please read Lesson 35 (pg 140-44) Factoring the Greatest Common Factor and Lesson 36 (pg 146-147) Distributive Property of Rational Expressions that Contain Positive Exponents.

Homework:  Lesson 35: a-d, and Lesson 36: a-f, 9-23 all.  Due 12/11.


Geometry

Prior to class on Wednesday, please read Lesson 33 (pg 211-214) Converse of the Pythagorean Theorem.  

Homework: Lesson 33: a-e, 3, 7, 8, 12, 15, 18.  Due 12/6.

Prior to class Friday, please read Lesson 34 (pg 218-220) Properties of Parallelograms, and Lesson 35 (pg 224-226) Finding Arc Lengths and Areas of Sectors.

Friday, December 6 

Prior to class Friday, please read Lesson 38 (pg 172-175) Powers of Sums/Solving by Factoring/Only Zero Equals Zero AND Lesson 39 (pg 176-179) Difference of Two Squares/Parallelogram Proof/Rhombus.

Homework: Lesson 38: a-b, 6-10 all, and Lesson 39: a-c, 8-11 all. Due 12/11.

We will be starting a three-week unit on skeet and trap.  This will involve shooting skeet and trap, weather permitting, so please dress appropriately for the weather.  It appears that Tuesday and Thursday’s weather forecast of this week calls for highs in the low 50s and dry conditions.


Archery

We will be preparing for our NASP tournament on Saturday, December 14.  All high school students will shoot at 5pm that day. 

Middle school students - your options to shoot are 8am (3 spots available), 4pm (3 spots available), and 5pm (4 spots available). Please let me know Tuesday which time you would like so that I can sign you up for that.
