December 11 - December 14, 2018

Important Dates:

  • 12/14 Class Christmas Party and Early Release - KIDS CAN WEAR PJ'S TO SCHOOL on FRIDAY!!
  • Gift Exchange:  Please have your child bring one gently used wrapped item to place under our Christmas Tree. If your student is a girl - the gift will need to be for a girl and if your student is a boy - the gift will need to be for a boy. Please be sure it is something small and simple. This is a fun way for the children to celebrate one another and give a gift this Christmas season to a friend. Please do not put anything on the giving tag except "Boy" or "Girl." THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HELPING!!!!
  • 12/14 - 1/1 Christmas Break
  • 12/15 American Legion fundraiser - come and enjoy breakfast while supporting your school 7am - 10am
  • 01/02 Return to School

Special Note: I have been given an amazing opportunity to attend a comprehensive IMSE Orton Gillingham training this "Tuesday through Thursday." I will return Thursday late afternoon and be back with students Friday, December 14, just in time for our class pajama party!! I will miss students terribly while I am away.

Show and Share this week: All students will have an opportunity to share this Tuesday. Please talk with your student about favorite Christmas traditions that they can share with the class. Please limit sharing to just one tradition so that everyone has an opportunity to share.

Devotion: For unto you is born this day … a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. We are really focusing on social emotional needs and kindness. What does Christ require of us? How do we truly love our neighbor even when it is hard?
